Export plunged 17.84% in April-November as India is looking forward for year 2021.

It’s been a tough year for all the countries and economy due to the corona pandemic, and every industry is facing the tough time be it Jewellery, Ceramic Tiles, Clothes or any other industry in India.

According to India’s Commerce Secretary Anup Wadhawan, exports declined 17.84 percent during April-November, but he added that the decline was much lower if sectors such as gems & jewellery and petroleum were excluded.

However, as the new year is just around the corner, and the whole world is looking forward for corona free year and start the normal life in businesses, for India, the future seems brighter.

Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister, in his address at the Board of Trade (BoT) meeting, seemed positive for the future and said the country was rebounding in a rapid recovery phase and going forward it is possible to achieve the export target of $1 trillion and a GDP target of $5 trillion by 2025.

As government is also targeting to help India become $5 trillion economy, India is hoping for better figures from start of the new year, 2021.

As far as the Ceramic Tiles industry is concerned, there is still a huge demand in India and ceramics of Morbi (Gujarat) is hoping to continue this for few more months in the coming years. As new manufacturing units are coming in Morbi, it will give a huge boost to employment and will target to beat China at global level.

One positive new is also coming from Morbi as the Ajanta Group is pushing the government for setting up Toys Industry in Morbi region by grouping the clock manufacturing and other small manufacturing companies.

If it happens, it will be a huge boost to not only for Morbi & Gujarat, but also to our country India, as majority of toys are exported from China all over the world.
